The Whitley County Republican Party will be holding its monthly breakfast meeting this coming Saturday morning, March 19th, at 8am in the back room at Big G’s Sports Café. For our out-of-town guests, Big G’s is located at 602 S. Main St. in Columbia City. Our breakfast this month is being sponsored by the Indiana Lunch Pail Republicans PAC, but we will pass the hat to raise money to support our candidates in the upcoming general election.

Our guest speaker this month will be Dave Fagan, a representative of the Indiana Lunch Pail Republicans PAC. The ILPRP is made up of a group of Trade Union Members who are conservative Republicans that believe in the common sense core values of the Republican Party. As Congressman Banks recently told the Republican House Leadership, the Republican Party needs to return to its roots: our farmers, our small business owners, and the every day workers who get up early every morning to go to work to support their families. Like Congressman Banks, the members of the ILPRP support Republican candidates that support the hardworking conservative breadwinners that pack their lunch pail every morning before heading out the door to work.

On a personal note, I first met Dave nearly 20 years ago in Northwest Indiana when I was working on Governor Mitch Daniels’ first campaign. I have nothing but thanks for the support provided to me by Dave and IOUE 150 in that campaign. I have been talking with Dave, and our own George Dockery, for over nine months about having Dave speak at one of our breakfast meetings. I look forward to learning how we can all work more closely with our local organized labor organizations and members.
